Update on Activities at the Reunion

This Sat. Sept. 12, a few of us met to talk about the activities for our reunion. It was so fun to see each other and talk. Please look on the www.nps.gov/zion site again. I talked to Karen Mayne last week and she has arranged for box lunches to be available at the Lodge on Sat. at noon. You can order them for $10.00 at the above site . Go to employee reunion and click on it. See the changes. Karen felt like people could pick and choose what you want to pay for. You might just want to do the box lunch. Or you could bring your lunch and visit with everyone. There's a $55 option for the Sat. 5:00 chuck wagon dinner and 7:00 the Red Rock Rondo entertainment. (I highly recommend them) plus a breakfast on Sun at the Lodge with a sing-away. There's also a $25.00 option. Check it out. Karen said to go to the Canyons Community Center (118 Lion Blvd. in Springdale--on the same road to the O.C.Tanner amphitheater) to check in on Fri. or Sat. to get your prepaid packet which includes name tags, tickets, coupons, pins, mugs etc. There is a social hour on Fri. with music from 5:00 -8:00 or 9:00. You can post pictures, write stuff on the Memory Scroll for your decade and record your oral history. If you haven't preregistered, go to the nsp.gov/zion site.

Connie Z.Allen, Mary Ann Palmer Morgan, Mary Ann Bunker Jackson, and Susan Payne Rogers are the ladies in charge of entertainment. This is what we discussed: The main thing we want to happen is for people to connect and have time to talk and catch up. Since we relate mostly to the Zion Lodge, we wanted to have a meeting place from 10:00 to 3:00 on the lawn or in the auditorium where we had our shows. After lunch at noon, we will perform some of the vaudeville acts (hopefully outside by the Lodge).
